SimpleClassicTheme is a set of utilities developed for restoring the functionality of Classic Theme that is normally unavailable by default in Windows 8/10/11.
Over the years, the many ways to achieve the usage or style of Classic Theme included hacky solutions and third party programs that change the Windows theme overall.
Thanks to a method found in 2019 by a user of the WinClassic forums, it is possible to enable Classic Theme through PowerShell by modifying security permissions for objects and code in Windows memory that are used in enabling Windows' Metro theme in applications.
This tool also comes with additional tweaks, such as a shell extension that patches the "immersive" context menu in Windows 10, which fails to render text in Classic Theme, to replace it with the normal system context menu in Windows Explorer.
